In the month of March I undertook a studio residency at the National Institute of Art (NIEA) studios in partnership with the Rocks Pop-Up. During which I created a series of experimental installation works, one of which was later chosen for the 61st Blake Prize.
The studios were located in the top floor of a beautiful heritage listed building on George Street in the Rocks, which provided the perfect backdrop for the development of this series. The studio space was an initiative of the City of Sydney to provide a work sites for artists in under-utilised city spaces.
This work was presented at the NIEA Rocks Pop-Up project, the Rocks in March 2012
